David Sandum, who spearheaded the first two twitter art exhibits in his home city of Moss, Norway, has now expanded the concept by organizing different exhibits around the world to raise funds for various charitable causes. He was so kind to choose me to be one of the honorary ambassadors! I was thrilled to participate in the first two exhibits. It was exciting to take part in a collective online activity that actually produced some good in the world (i.e., not a meaningless timewaster).
The third exhibit in this series is taking place in Los Angeles, CA and entries are being accepted until January 4, 2013. Visit the website at twitterartexhibit.org to learn more about it. Twitter Art Exhibit: Los Angeles will raise funds to benefit Art Division, which is an organization that helps disadvantaged young people pursue careers in the arts.
This time around I am going to take a break from participating because I have a couple of projects in the works and I don’t want to lose momentum on them. But, I am going to be getting another postcard sized painting ready (kept secret, of course) so I have it on hand for the next time.
Some more progress on my sunset colored pencil piece, developing the sky further. It is coming along nicely.
