Swan Family

The swans were by our shoreline for over four hours, finding little bites to eat in our little cove. A family of seven!

The Magic of Colored Pencil

My colored pencil paintings Birthday Sunset, Orange Sunset and A Mild Winter will be on display at the Spring Bull Gallery in Newport, RI from June 1-30. I’m so excited! I decided to join the CPSA on a whim last year and I am so glad that I did. Already I have met a number […]

Watercolors and Wine

Last week my sister and I had the opportunity to take an afternoon watercolor class taught by artist Kara K. Bigda. It was held at the Hardwick Winery and the class was combined with a wine tasting. I had a great time and it was also a fun day with my sister (going out for […]

Chance Encounter

In the Lawn

Dandelion and Pear Blossoms

I really think it’s too bad that dandelions have a bad reputation because I love them. We grow them in the garden to harvest the greens and I think the blossoms are very beautiful. The pear trees have blossoms now.

Postcard Exchange

I mailed this 4×6 inch watercolor to Wil Freeborn this morning. He mailed me this one earlier and I got it with great excitement. It is now in my cubicle at work, inspiring me to paint more watercolor whenever it catches my eye. Would anyone like to do a postcard exchange with me? If you […]

Tree Reflections

I’m getting excited about getting out on the water!
