Zine!

A few weeks ago I did a relatively quick Sunday morning pen and ink drawing to be published in Destiny Zine #2, a zine with the theme of empowering girls and women. The drawing is inspired by a photo I took while visiting Lake Eden, VT about a month ago. I had the idea that […]

Additional Evening Skies

Here are some more of my sunset sketches, drawn while sitting on my back deck. I’m glad I took the time and braved the mosquitoes to sketch them. They really capture a lot of memories from this past summer.

Evening Skies

I’ve been paying attention to skies lately. In New England, we don’t have big wide skies like in the West because of all the trees and buildings that block the view. Some of the only places to see a lot of sky are over a lake, or on top of a mountain. I once read […]

First Mother’s Day

Yesterday my mom, sister and I went to Old Sturbridge Village because they were giving free admission to all mothers. It was a nice afternoon and we saved $75. I haven’t been there in twenty years and it was just as I remembered it. I left with lots of potential reference photos and the general […]

Fox Hill

I haven’t done anything in straight pen and ink for a long time so I decided to give it a try again. Pen and ink is a real challenge for me because I struggle with adding too much detail. I really love detail, but I can carry it too far at times. I don’t ever […]
