I really think it’s too bad that dandelions have a bad reputation because I love them. We grow them in the garden to harvest the greens and I think the blossoms are very beautiful. The pear trees have blossoms now.

After the rain

I stepped outside to take some photos one morning before work after it had rained the night before. I thought of this article that I came across recently: What makes rain smell so good? On this morning, there was the usual after the rain smell, plus the oniony smell of chive.

Early Spring

Some beautiful flowers have started cropping up in the garden. (I would really love to do a colored pencil or watercolor of some of these violas.) I was happy to see the bees were out as well.

Springtime Wishes

It’s finally starting to feel a little like spring here. This winter was especially tough and I’m hopeful that the cold weather will be leaving us soon. Happy Easter to all my readers who observe it. For me, it is becoming more special every year.
