I love sketching in ink.

Sketching in ink has become my favorite method to practice in my sketchbook. It really forces me to be confident in my observations and marks. Here, I took a couple of minutes to sketch some lilies on the kitchen table.

Mini Petunias

Last week I did some pen sketching on my front stoop. My goal was to sketch quickly with confident strokes and I think I succeeded. It was very hot and I was in direct sunlight, so I came inside after about fifteen minutes and colored the blossoms yellow.

More Roses
